I have seriously screwed up my colg. GPA. I just want to start fresh and not transfer anythingfrom previous school. Is it possible that I can just apply at a university or community coll with my high school transcipts and start fresh. I know I "can" but is that allowed? Would it come back to haunt me say if I am in my third year and they go oh yeah by the way we see you attended two other colleges we need your transcripts or whatever?
I farted around and made mistakes when I was young and didnt take it seriously and this was 6-7 years ago. I really want to do this right and devote all my time to it but so far I would spend 2 or 3 years getting the gpa back up to where I want to get into the program I want to begin with. If I have to tack on another 2-3 years of the already wasted 6-7 years I have gone Id rather just no even go.
Is there some kind of huge database they check to see if I have ever attended coll before ect? Would they know?
THANKSCredits do expire. My mom tried to go back and finish her graduate degree and was unable to because too much time has passed. My suggestion is simply to call the university you wish to attend and ask them if you have to transfer all college credit (you don't have to tell them your name). Surely they won't force you to transfer credits if you don't want to, as the more classes you take at their university, the more money you pay them, so it seems logical that if you wanted to start fresh, you could. Best to ask student affairs though. They'll give you an answer.I don't think you have to submit previous college grades. I know someone who went to two colleges before being at the current college. Once I was looking at his transcript as well as program evaluation and there was no grades from the old schools.To get into the college you submit your GPA. But don't worry if you write and good explanation and show them that you really do care then you will probally get in.You'll need to take those classes over, most likely at the same college.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
